Hazardous Waste Disposal

Management, Disposal, Transportation & Reporting for Hazardous Waste Materials

Hazardous Waste Disposal Handled by Trained Professionals

Hazardous waste carries a higher level of regulatory obligation than other waste streams. Under RCRA, generators remain responsible for their waste from the point of generation through final disposal, and the penalties for mishandling are significant. Crystal Clean’s hazardous waste disposal service is built to take that responsibility off your facility completely.

Our service representatives handle scheduled pickup and emergency collection of corrosives, flammables, solvents, toxics, listed wastes, sludges, liquids, and solids. We supply DOT-approved drums, label each container for shipping, and provide full chain-of-custody documentation at every visit at no additional charge. All labor and materials are included.

Every service includes the Crystal Clean Certificate of Assurance, our written confirmation that your hazardous waste was collected, classified, and disposed of in compliance with all local, state, and federal EPA regulations. It’s a document you can present to a regulator or auditor with confidence. From pickup to final disposal, the liability is ours to manage.

Common Hazardous Wastes Include:

  • Corrosives
  • Listed Wastes
  • Solvents
  • Flammables
  • Sludges
  • Toxics
  • Liquids
  • Solids

Disposal Methods For Hazardous Wastes

Crystal Clean treats hazardous wastes in a variety of methods and is focused on managing hazardous materials in a waste-to-energy manner whenever possible. Our team is committed to determining the best way to safely and sustainably manage your waste to meet your goals.

Supplemental Fuel

Hazardous wastes can be blended together at fuel blending facilities to transform liquid, sludge, and solid wastes into supplemental fuels used in manufacturing processes. Much of the hazardous waste Crystal Clean collects from its generators is approved into fuel blending and processed in kiln operations to manufacture cement.

Thermal Destruction and Incineration

Thermal destruction and incineration uses high temperatures to destroy hazardous wastes and its constituents, reducing the amount of waste to goes to landfills. This disposal method can be used to incinerate liquid, sludge, and solid wastes. Crystal Clean will collect and transport your hazardous waste to an audited and approved facility for thermal destruction or incineration.

Landfill Neutralization

Hazardous wastes that only exhibit corrosive characteristics are eligible for neutralization treatment. Crystal Clean will collect and transport hazardous wastes to an audited and approved facility to neutralize the corrosive characteristics of the hazardous wastes. After undergoing neutralization, the waste is transported to an audited RCRA Hazardous Landfill (Subtitle C) for final disposal

Landfill Stabilization

Crystal Clean offers cost-effective and safe landfill disposal of hazardous wastes through a stabilization process. Crystal Clean collects and transports hazardous waste to an audited and approved facility to undergo a stabilization process to prepare it for landfill disposal. Once stabilized, the waste is transported to an audited RCRA Hazardous Landfill (Subtitle C) for final disposal.
