With our nationwide network of wastewater treatment facilities, Crystal Clean has the capacity to effectively treat more than 80 million gallons of wastewater annually. Our treatment capabilities include:

Industrial Wastewater Management

Maritime Wastewater Management
Crystal Clean proudly supports the maritime industry through our network of wastewater treatment facilities, with multiple facilities strategically located near major ports. We can efficiently and effectively remove and consolidate waste from large vessels for later disposal. Because our ports and waterways are sensitive environments, compliance is as important to us as it is to you and that’s why we are dedicated to managing waste through operations that are compliant with all local, state, and federal guidelines. Our team of trained professionals are also permitted to manage APHIS/regulated garbage waste safely and in compliance with USDA/CBP regulations.
Collection
Professional Crystal Clean representatives collect wastewaters from generators which are then transported to a regional wastewater treatment facility.
Coagulation
The wastewater is sent through an oil/water separator and a coagulation agent is introduced, causing contaminates such as oils, heavy metals, and low-level organics to gather and settle at the bottom of the wastewater tank.
Precipitation
The gathered contaminates are transformed into a solid state using a solidification or chemical binding agent and then removed from the wastewater.
Adjustments
The wastewater is tested and treated to adjust it to a neutral pH level so that it is safe for the environment and for consumption.
Discharge
The treated water is sent to a POTW (publicly owned treatment works), where it goes through additional treatment and is then discharged into public waterways.
