34 and Counting
One key to the HCC
Reuse Program's phenomenal success is gaining
each state's concurrence with our interpretation
of regulations regarding the treatment of our customers'
used
solvent material as a manufacturing ingredient.
To date, 34 states have formally
agreed with HCC that materials used as substitutes
in the manufacturing process
are not considered wastes and are not subject to waste
management handling and disposal regulations.
Obtaining state concurrence is not
a legal requirement, the HCC
Reuse Program meets federal guidelines. Rather,
these concurrence
letters from individual states are
further proof of the additional effort we make
to meet and exceed regulatory
requirements.
